Remember earlier in the episode when the Doctor says that when you read about an event that happens in the relative past but your personal future that it becomes a fixed event? That whole scene with the Doctor breaking River’s wrist?
Yeah. That’s why the Doctor can’t go back to New York 1939, or New Jersey 1938 - because the Doctor read Amy’s epilogue at the end of the book. It’s right there in the episode. Come the fuck on.
Can we please put this whole damned thing to rest now? It’s been eight months.
